Chinese New Year
In communities everywhere, preparations for Chinese New Year have begun. This year, Chinese New Year falls on February 12th with 2021 being the Year of the Ox. In Chinese culture, the Ox is a valued animal. Because of its role in agriculture, positive characteristics, such as being hardworking and honest, are attributed to it.
In 2006, we opened our Shanghai office after identifying that there was real opportunity here for the Shirley® brand. We now have a great, growing team based in Shanghai who work with clients in the region to promote our OEKO-TEX® services as well as PPE testing under the banner of our sister company BTTG®.
Our Shanghai office in China is led by Country Manager, Wendy Wang who has been with the company for well over a decade. The team also includes Technical Administrative Officer, Anna Chen and Technical Administrator, Bella Xin who has been with the company for ten years in June. Harry Huang, South China Manager based in Guangzhou and Jerry Yang, North China Manager based Quingdao travel the country conducting audits and providing their technical expertise.
